Tons and not specific to AAPI F. The below is for Manhattan.
- port authority area (40th to 42nd st and 7and 8th ave)
-alphabet city
-the quieter areas in the LES

It’s often on a block-by-block basis. If you see a block that’s quiet, dark and has few or no people walking on it, you’re safer going somewhere else.
Yeah this is going to require a lot of smart personal judgment. Also AAPI F and I tend to be more conservative (I'll take the added stress and paranoia if it means my face won't get bashed in for no reason at all...).
Hells kitchen between 10th and 11th aves used to be totally fine, now I generally avoid it after 7pm or so unless it's a Friday/Saturday and there's lots of people.
Penn station/port authority areas (I know they're 8 blocks apart but I honestly group them as one), extending to a bit south of Penn Station, and anywhere west of 8th ave in those areas, I definitely avoid as much as possible, though for full disclosure, I haven't been to hudson yards since people started moving into the area so I don't know how safe the surrounding area feels.
Hell, there are some parts of UWS/UES north of the mid-90s that I wouldn't spend too much time out alone in after dark.
Like freelance said, I would remain hyperaware walking around anywhere that's quietish with little to no foot traffic and no commercial spots that you can duck into in case of emergency.
I work(ed) in Hudson Yards and made the trek from Penn Station to the office at all hours. It’s an incredibly aesthetically displeasing walk from 8th to HY on 34th, but never once have I felt unsafe.
