Senior Salesforce Director with 0 certs… is this normal?

AdTech company post-merger, chasing $1B ARR. The most senior Salesforce leader:
• 0 Salesforce certs
• No technical education
• Can’t handle basic admin scenarios (formula fields, automation debugging, ETL failures)

But can run meeting theater and retaliate if you outshine them.

Question: Ever seen leadership this out of depth in Salesforce? How did you deal?

Employment-at-will. Is that the norm in a consulting contract (I’m moving from Europe)? Can I / should I negotiate the notice period on their side or eventually the size of an eventual lay-off?

Been working at my company as a new grad for almost a year, but don’t see myself in the team that I am in (working with Salesforce) for long term. Interested in frontend dev and have been learning on my own. Manager says chase doesnt have much React opportunities. Is it possible to make a switch when I barely have experience? Are there companies that will hire by seeing that I am willing to learn and am interested in frontend even tho I don’t have much experience with it yet?

I've been thinking about moving from working at banks to a fintech because I feel like that’s the only way to increase my TC.
