I work for a suit company and it’s in our visual guide to put white sneakers on our mannequins during the spring/summer season. I love it too and I wear sneakers with mine from time to time but you have to make sure it goes with it, I usually have a more casual look like with a solid or graphic tee and I tone down the accessories. Solid white sneakers like a Stan smith or AF1 will always go but you can mix some color in depending on the suit color/pattern.
I think it looks awful with a full suit but does seem to be growing more acceptable by others. I even notice it when the sports guys are wearing them like on College GameDay. Can’t imagine this trend outside the US.
This is a more casual look and FairPlay on that. This guy looks good. I am talking about the American guys (I am one myself) wearing a dark suit with high tops or bulky sneakers.
Some things just should not mix.
New Balance seems like a good option to me.
I love it. Hope it never changes. Can’t imagine going back to uncomfortable shoes.
My friend wore a navy suit with a white t and Air Force 1 low tops after my main wedding event to be more comfortable. I thought it looked really slick / baller
I think fashion and style is suppose to extend beyond tradition
Horrible but maybe because I’m a millennial
Love the trend.
To wear sneakers with suit, they need to be clean and high quality leather sneakers. No athletic shoes. Look at AceMarks or Thursday Boots for examples.
I think if done tastefully, anyone can pull off the sneaker + suit combo. They usually have to be slimmer cut suits and sleek, monochromatic shoes. Common Projects Achilles sneakers in white would pair very nicely with a slim cut Theory suit as an example.
Depends on the type of sneaker and the suit. Some NBA guys can really pull this look off when they pair the suit with a hoody
I think it’s ok for weddings or party type events. I think it’s looks try hard and tacky in a professional setting
To each their own.
No thank you.

Tech started it. Look at all the billionaires.
I first noted Jerry Seinfeld then at work and now everywhere. After COVID I don’t to go back to the same old.
Need to figure this out. Appreciate the comments
