Since the DEI changes, phone calls and emails from recruiters for open positions has slowed down/stop. I went from having multiple phones calls and emails daily to hopefully getting at least one phone /email or none at all . Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

I am gonna say no, but I’m not saying no to go against you. I’m saying no to let you know that it’s not happening that way, but I also work in healthcare tech so there’s a lot of other factors that can be going on outside of just DEI. Some industries are a lot more active.

Might not be because of DEI honestly. Layoffs are happening in Corporate America & the positions are being filled by contractors or consultants! I witnessed two get laid off on Friday & we already reached out to prior contractors. I’m consulting as well remote. But if I get converted I would have to be hybrid. I did have two remote contract offers but I already sensed both were toxic. Both mentioned putting out fires. These layoffs don’t stop the work though. So you have to ask the right questions as well. Perm is def on hold.

I don't think its because of DEI changes although that could contribute. I think the job market is tough in general right now because there are so many people looking for new roles and not enough places hiring.

I said no a few weeks ago, but now after wasting my time in 4 rounds of interviews and some other job interviews, where I received questionable feedback . I am going to say yes.

Please suggest any good sources to prepare for data engineer interviews in GCP, Python, SQL, Pyspark. I have worked only in a few tools in GCP and done basic coding in pyspark and above average in SQL, but need to be prepared to handle all questions to grab some offer. YouTube has lot of resources but confused on which one to start with. I have an interview this Tuesday in another 2 days.
