I took a promotion last year. My new Mgr doesn’t develop me, I spend 5+hours/day in meetings, I get 100+emails/day, and I had no onboarding. The department has tons of attrition and it seems like senior leadership is turning a blind eye. I love the company but the department is just bad/chaotic. When the EY split happens, FAIT will be on the Assurance/EY side. Even if the split doesn’t go through I heard FAIT will be moving to Assurance next year as well. Do you think salaries will be lower than what they would have been when we were part of Consulting and FAIT will have a harder time getting talent?

Was wondering if I can have some advice on starting in HR. I got my BBA last year with an Honours in HR (Canada), and am currently working a contract Document Controller/Admin Assistant job. My company is in need of a update online, could use your opinions! We need to better showcase our culture (caring, supportive, fun, intelligent IT industry leaders) as well as diversity. We are predominantly white still but making strides to improve here. What’s the best way to approach? My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?
