So after months of searching for a restaurant server/bartender role, I finally got hired, and now I'm wondering why I even applied here. The manager is forcing me to continue "training" while I'm actually training my trainer. I've been taking orders and using the pos alone! Even as we speak, I'm waiting (over an hour) for my "trainer" to show up, I'm asking her to just "validate" me and put me on the floor,but she is refusing. This industry has turned into a joke! This is utter ridiculousness‼️​

Hello All, I’m a project manager but seeking to pivot into UX Research. I do have some experience but don’t have a portfolio yet. Can anyone advise if I should focus on going through a bootcamp or focus on getting a Masters in HCI? Or just building a portfolio with the experience I do have? So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film. Coustmer comes in and then ends up leaving with a grossed out look on his face just for him to put in a complaint about my appearance...he down right called me some nasty things for no reason. Still feeling gross about it. He was upset for no reason as far as I'm concerned.
