So I had multiples rounds of interviews (recruiter screening + interviews with 3 different people) the last interview was on Monday January 22nd . Recruiter reached out on 24th saying she hasn’t had the chance to speak with Hiring manager as he was travelling and he is wrapping up another few interviews as of Friday January 26th and she will keep me informed. I sent an email yesterday Jan 31to ask for an update and until today I heard nothing . What should I expect & should I follow up again ?

I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap?
