Lie. Google a company that when belly up in the last 6 months and claim you were the CFO for the last 30 years. "Board Members" typically don't do anything but go to meetings and eat on the company dime. Just agree with them that's what's expected.
It’s a tough market, but there are more options for flexible/remote work than 20 years ago.
Some customer service jobs can be virtual. You could also consider reception at any type of office (dentist, business, etc) or personal/executive assistant.
Someone I know works as a personal assistant for a family and it’s largely remote and involves booking appointments, travel, and a few errands. It doesn’t need to be a super wealthy family, I think there’s a lot of opportunity with adults who work full time but might need someone to help their aging relatives. Maybe they live alone but need some help with small things rides to the grocery store and such
Most wfh jobs do require computer work. Some will provide that computer. You will need to have Internet service. There are FB groups that send out leads for some positions. (Try Tywanna) There's also freelance work on sites such as fiver, task rabbit, and Odesk. Those tend to need applications and can be very competitive especially when you first start out. Virtual Personal Assistant would help someone make appointments, organize email, and stuff like that. I have a friend that did freelance book editing that started out that way. She has steady clients now, but it took years and a couple times she had a full time job. Other than that, you can select remote on the job boards and look for something that aligns with your skill set. Good Luck! We're rooting for you!
