So, I'm a seasonal tax preparer and I'm stressed beyond hell to find a new job after this. I'd like to find something that can potentially align with this but it isn't mandatory. I have an associates in business admin (Going back eventually for Bachelor), and this was my first year doing taxes. Any suggestions or tips of what can be done next just for the time being to stay afloat?

Have you tried doing side gigs like freelancing in taxes, consulting, bookkeeping, etc? Even things like Uber, Door Dash, Instacart, etc, can make good money if they work steady hours.

This was my first year doing this honestly, so when it comes to that type of stuff. I’m not too sure I have that experience

I wanted to move to devops role. But without experience no one is giving opportunity and they are considering my profile as QA only 😒

Employer is 100% sponsoring MPH and decided to take it to further expand network and it's decent (T20). Wondering if Epidemiology or Healthcare Management would be a better concentration? I'm currently in pharma and the goal is at graduation I'll have a good amount of experience and a little bonus (MPH) to be competitive for experienced hire roles. ZSers, what are your thoughts?

When pushing for a tier promotion (level 2 to level 3), is there a best way to also say what I want to be paid? Or do I just accept the pay increase that the promotion brings and wait until an annual review to negotiate a new salary? The requirements for the level 3 include 4 YoE, with 6 YoE preferred. I’ll have 5 when I push for the promotion, so I’d want more than the base level of pay in the range.

Need some advice! I live in Boise which is supposedly the most overvalued real estate market in the country right now. Bought my first home 2 years ago for 400k and it's now worth ~725k. Looking at homes in other western cities everywhere seems incredibly overpriced as well.

I plan to use the proceeds to pay off student loans and save the additional for a large down payment. Is it best to try and race interest rates and find a home or just sit on the big lump of cash and rent for a year?
