AlixPartners I am expecting an offer for VP in financial crime/compliance and risk. I need to give them my compensation expectation. Currently working in Bank with 7+ YOE including 6 yrs in Big4 non-MBA (Masters in Finance). What is the total comp (base+bonus) that I can ask for? What is the general sign on bonus? From my understanding it’s largely conversational so they can get to know you, why you want to transfer, what industries you have experience on or are interested in, etc. It’s usually more important for the teams to see if you will be a good fit rather than looking for any specific hard skills. They typically expect you to be able to learn those on the job if you transfer.
Agree, it’s more an informal discussion to understand interest and assess fit. With transfers, we rely on performance feedback from current service line, so it’s not a technical assessment.
