Two things: 1- If Tyrion actually believes Cersei was planning on sending troops, it is probably tied to her baby. Maybe he promises to put the baby in line for succession since Dany thinks she is infertile. 2- I took his face to be of concern, she is now risking emotional attachment that could cloud decisions and lessen his influence. AND if she does happen to be fertile, this could change her view on "breaking the wheel"
