Sometimes good things happen in stressful situations. My closest friend and I bonded when a fellow member of a support group did not understand what being genderqueer was all about so he called me a chickenhawk and tried to get me thrown out of the group. My friend saw the alleged victim and let him know what was happening . The young member contacted the group leader and I was cleared. Can any of you share when good came a bad situation ?

Has anyone ever been in a mostly platonic relationship? I don’t like to label myself much, but I don’t really like intimacy and don’t really like romance. I grew up in a nuclear family away from extended relatives who were never really close. Parents were either emotionally unavailable or distant. All I've wanted for myself was a big loving family to call my own.. my parents are unaccepting of my sexuality & my partners family is also quite fucked up so she's isn't super close to them either. Honestly this sucks & it feels like I'll never have a huge supportive family I've wanted & craved for.
