So, 100% of the times I’ve got further in the interview process and I’ve got an interview with the ECDs or CCOs, I got the job. Always. Except for the 2 last ones. And the only difference was...cont
Will d usi hold internal technical interviews for (Solution Advisor - cyber infra) project allocation ? I'm a lateral hire and yet to be assigned with a project. Kindly enlighten me. Also how many days can one be on the bench usually?
Didn’t do well in my interview today. It’s definitely one of the hardest interviews I’ve had but i am just disappointed at myself. I don’t know if I have a way out of public. 😭
@BCG Anyone know how flexible BCG is right now with start dates for experienced laterals? I’m interviewing for the May start date and the recruiter has said they are pretty fixed on this date for this recruiting cycle, but I would prefer to start in July. Are they usually amenable to changing the start date after I receive an offer?
Happy Friday fishes! I landed my first product manager interview next week - coming from a non technical background. How to best prepare for it? Any resources you would recommend (aside from cracking the PM interview)? TIA!
Former BIG4 India folks! Need your help! I worked in EY India but they are known by diff partnership name like SR Batliboi etc. when applying for GC, shall I need to write SR Batliboi or EY is fine?
What’s it like working for GT? The people and practice seemed pleasant during the interviews but I keep seeing such negative reviews online
How likely is it to get an interview from a M7? And after getting an interview, how many get accepted?
Does anyone else hate the interviews that you think have gone well, but then you end up being ghosted? I thought I did well because the interviewer told me I would ‘fit right into the team and team culture’ and said ‘keep an eye on your email, we move quickly and you’ll probably hear about next steps in the next few days’. Makes me feel like I am terrible at reading situations (on top of being terrible at interviewing). I hate not knowing what I did wrong and what I should be fixing.
Had a final round interview today where I believe 3/4 of them went really well. The call with the manager was okay - they didn’t seem as engaged. Will this hinder me?
What would you say in a follow up email on a job offer decision for which you’ve completed all interviews? They said they would make a decision last week and that this is a critical hire. The candidate felt positive/confident about being a top pick based on their interviews.
Capital One Power Day had three interviews in the morning. HR calls in between to say if you have a fourth in the afternoon. They told me this depends on caser availability. Is this really true, or does something else determine the 4th case?
Most popular interview question: why are you leaving public accounting/your current job? What is the right answer?
Prior to the pandemic, I was transferring to our London office (now paused). I’ve always wanted to live a few years abroad, perhaps through global expansion at my current firm or applying for other jobs globally, even B-school. I know it sounds a bit idealistic and perhaps even unrealistic given the current situation - but for the nomads/expats, is it possible to work abroad remotely at this time? Perhaps moving from country to country? I work in tech rn.
Just started looking for another job after being with my commercial for 6 years. I’m encountering more and more recruiters pushing the salary expectations question at the recruiter interview. Basically won’t move forward in the process if you don’t give a number or the right number (usually low). Anyone else experiencing this?
11 applications —> 7 moved to interviews —> 4 went to final rounds —> 3 offers. 6-8 weeks from start to finish. Peace out, Strategy Consulting - it’s been real. Consider a career coach if you’re serious about moving on - drastically improved my conversion rate.
I’ve been a nurse for 10 years in Boston. I have a few years of sales that involved a lot of travel. Looking to step away from bedside nursing and get back into sales. I’m also a bit discouraged with my earnings and the wife wants to go down in hours to spend more time with the kids. So far I’ve applied to a few Novartis jobs and the interview process has started. Any other companies that you would suggest? I figure leveraging my medical knowledge would be best but I’m open. Thanks guys
Anyone else going through the interview process and getting offers for late starts (July-September)? How would the delay affect the offer amount given this month? Tips on accepting an offer in advance

Do first years get any sort of raise?
I have an interview soon and suspect their salary band is below what I would accept even in a best-case (glassdoor shows about half of my current TC). Is it rude to push through and see what happens?
So far this year, there have been 4 times I've gotten a "PWC NEW HIRE BONUS POINTS" bonus of 8,000 points to my Hilton Honors account. Has anyone else been getting this?
Anyone have a good idea of comp range for an internal Manager role focused on Talent change management? Candidate has 10+ years experience at B4
In my friend group I’ve always been the one that kind of gets teased/bullied. It’s never been harsh insults or anything of that matter but I do feel sick of being treated this way. I know at the end of the day, those friends will always be there for me for the important things, but being treated this way has left me feeling depressed a few nights lately.
Hello... I have cleared three rounds of interview and my recruiter said I am still in contention for the Job position at Deloitte. However, I don’t see things going progress since 2 months. My last round of interview was on 10th April. But since then the only email which got was that I am in contention but no updates. I’m not sure what exactly the process would be! I don’t know when will they even do my background check... I don’t want to miss an opportunity with Deloitte.
For anyone whose team held back on promotions due to covid impact on revenue, how much did you push back on not receiving a promotion or raise (separate from a bonus, and if you were up for / expecting the promotion)? Did you ask for anything else in place of the promotion/raise? Context: smaller team ~25 within a larger company. All performance reviews leading up to year-end review have been very positive and in a non-covid world I would’ve been a lock for promotion.
