What are peoples thoughts on working for a Banking Company in a Product or Tech role? I know there are mixed feelings since it’s not working directly with interest, etc.

If you currently work in banking, what was your reasoning (besides pay)?

If you don’t, would you ever accept an offer if it in a Tech or Product role?

I've got offer from Dunnhumby, Fractal and Gartner for the role of Data engineer. Which one should I go for?

Tech Stack - Python, PySpark, Azure Data Factory and Synapse analytics.
YOE - 2.2
Gartner - 16LPA
Dunnhumby - 15 fixed + 1.5 Joining bonus+ 10% variable
Fractal - 13.5 LPA

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!

Currently accepted an internship at a firm for the winter and also just accepted a separate internship over the summer with a B4 firm. I am working with an African fintech startup. The business has been bootstrapped from inception and is at the following stage of growth: Av. 2000 AMU,1000+ merchants are signed up, 38,000 +users registered, 15,000 + transactions recorded, with a current team of 10 persons, 5 of which are in sales. The market value for the business as at 2019 in W. Africa was $130 Billion and it is expected to grow to $205 Billion by 2024. The business plans to capture at least 40% of the market by 2024

I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??
