Drive-by comment about pgm interviewing (maybe you've already done the following):
- Prep an answer for how you'd help manage programs in an area where you have less experience, whether you were able to catch up quickly and how you did it, and what programs you've done that have parallels with UX.
- Have an answer for why you're super interested in UX and what research/reading/building you're already doing now to build up UX familiarity. There are Google blog posts about UX; could help if you are able to reference them.
- Same with posts on accessibility... that's a big focus within UX industry wide.
- Prepare an answer for "teach me about something you're an expert in..."
And...I say this every pgm and tpm interview, but people only listen half the time: when they ask for specific examples ("tell me about a time when..."), give specific examples not generic ones. If you don't have a specific example to answer the question, don't give a general answer in exchange; instead, explain you don't have an example for that exact situation but you do have one for XYZ, and then explain that one using specifics. Good luck, by the way.
Awesome feedback! Thank you for the drive by!
