I’ve been a vet tech for 12 years and it is not the same as it used to be. The vet field has changed and it’s starting to stress me out.
Many reason - but my #1 struggle is clients.
They expect immediate appts, They don’t want to pay.
Our daily call volume has quadrupled and it’s all problems and sick reasons instead of well checks.
Clients don’t show gratitude. We book through our lunch and stay late to try to see everyone and it’s never enough.

Having an animal friend with cancer is not something easy. This year I have already had 24 animals that went to sleep in order to stop suffering. This is not easy for their families at all. It seems to me that the cancer stats in domestic animals are increasing, is this just me?
