I'll just say this, it's not about how you start it's about how finish.
Everyone comes from different backgrounds, some people even get to do pre-vet programs and get a headstart but don't let that get to you. The courses are designed to teach you everything you know whether yo come in with that previous knowledge or not. Focus on your own learning first
Because they already studied some of the stuff previously. If it looks easy for them it's because they already did the hard part, which is learning it the first time around. Having to catch up does not mean you are dumb
Not everyone has the same starting point, that's okay and it doesn't make you dumb. You'll have to work a little harder at the start to stay on par but you should be able to catch up as long as you stay focused and motivated to succeed. If you got in to vet school, you obviously meet the min requirements to get through it
Look at it as motivation, these people are not superhumans they just spend more time than you learning what they know. Time is a resource all of us have
Some people spend their free time building up their social lives, others educate themselves, some start businesses and others like to indulge. There's no one way to live your life but there are perks that come with your choices, you're just seeing the people who chose to invest their time into getting ahead for their education, I'm sure there are quite few more people there who feel "dumb" as you say
I guarantee you you're not the only one there who feels that way, start connecting with the people around you and work together, you'll start feeling better after that
Don't worry, you're not alone! Vet school is definitely a learning curve, and it takes time to get used to all the new information. Just take it one day at a time and keep asking questions if you don't understand something. The other students and faculty are happy to help. And remember, everyone was once in your shoes!
Don't feel dumb! Vet school is a lot of work and it takes a lot of time to learn everything. Just focus on doing your best and don't worry about what everyone else is doing. You'll get there in the end!
Everyone in your class was new at one point and they all eventually caught up. Just focus on doing your best and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. You'll get the hang of it eventually and then vet school will be a breeze!
First of all, don't worry! You're definitely not the only one feeling this way. Vet school is a challenging and rigorous program, and it's natural to feel overwhelmed at times. The good news is that with hard work and dedication, you'll be able to overcome any obstacle.
Talk to your classmates and professors if you need help, and don't be afraid to ask for clarification when you don't understand something. Remember, everyone in vet school was once in your shoes - so don't hesitate to reach out for support!
Are you early in your studies? Some people start out with years of experience living and working on farms or working in vet clinics. However, the rapid pace of school means you'll be caught up incredibly quickly. Stick with it, you've got this.
