Stop putting Competitive Salary in the job description if you aren't willing to disclose the actual range in the first five minutes. Ughhh. I just wasted three hours of PTO on an interview cycle only to find out their competitive offer was $30k below my current base. Is it considered rude now to demand the salary range before even booking the first Zoom call?

I am a backend Java engineer, and have solely used Java since I've started my software engineering career about 2 years ago. So I’m currently interviewing for another position, to be a business development specialist at a relatively large tech company in PA. I have about a years worth of experience. Indeed estimates the salary to be between 60k-80k, I was wondering what I should expect?

Been with an Asphalt and Concrete contractor in suburban Chicagoland for a little over 2 years now, and am going into a compensation discussion tomorrow after informing my boss I no longer wish to be on a draw.

Current comp plan is as follows:
Salary- ~48k w/ draw up to about 80k, full OTE with commissions should be ~170000, this is all increased by kickers every 250k in sales that increase commission/draw
