Does PwC do salary negotiations? I have a 100k offer from another big 4 firm as a 2nd year associate in a risk assurance group. I generated revenue for the firm so I'm sure they'll budge to a degree.
I really didn’t like going into the office and traveling pre-COVID. I preferred to work from home so I could spend time with my young child daily. 4 months later, I am SO tired even after getting 7 - 8 hours of sleep every night and only putting in about 45 hours of some per week. 5 year old child is home all day every day and the stress of balancing work with child is Exhausting.
Sometimes all you have to do to feel better is to get out of the front door. To all of the people who were laid off, remember that. One more day!
Need advice ASAP. Boutique firm offered a realllyyyyy subpar package ($50K less than current comp). I’m livid and am obviously declining it but want to send some choice words to the head of talent. I set clear expectations from the get go with everyone at firm and they quoted a range that they didn’t even end up coming close to! Thoughts?
Left a job in government (prosecution), currently at a mid-size firm. I’m really starting to not only hate law firm life, but the practice of law generally. Is this part of the transition? I left my last job because I was on-call 24/7. Now I’m 24/7 again but due to billable requirements. I have no hobbies, no free time, and only spend about an hour/day with my kids. Not sure I want this life. At least I had insane PTO for govt work.
Pet peeve: People texting me minutes after they emailed me asking if I received it. Special bonus when I've had to chase them all week for the email.
I have an interview for an AE position and I need help. I work on the planning side and I want to try and highlight how transferable my skills are. Thanks so much!

Has a client ever given you a task or project that you have never done before and they expect you to get it all done on your own? In addition, the task is something they have done before but they want to see if you can get it done with limited time. How would you handle this?
Has anyone heard of the GA board giving more time before credits you passed roll off? My exams start rolling off in December and since we lost like a 2-3 month chunk back in March and/or due to sickness or paranoia, you think they’d give an extension?
What is your firm’s policy for vacation around the holidays? Any restrictions (formal or informal) to make sure there are enough associates around to cover client maytr? Priority given by seniority?
