For PgM, there’s actually a very small number of available roles at Google. And therefore it’s also fairly competitive and usually requires solid PgM background.
I would dissuade the notion of lower barriers for entry for almost any Google role. All interviews are structured the same and all have similar rigor.
Can’t speak to cloud consultant.
I am not super tuned in to the S&O ladder, but many people here are and can provide better insights than me

It varies - if you are a person that can correctly identify how to use Google tools to solve the clients problems then you will probably not be expected to be as technical. If you can't do that - then you had better be more technical
SO should know how to move a client to the cloud - the major components, etc

Have her apply for a TAM role. Less competition and also better for her long term. She will be a unique fish there instead of a small fish in a big pond with bigger fish. Her strategy skills will help her come up with unique insights.
SO does not have hands on experience on the console..MBA with a few AWS & Azure certs. I will ask them to review the position details on TAM but from what I have seen on this bowl the GCP TAM is not as tech heavy as Azure of AWS. I could be wrong, please let me know
How does one go about changing ladders or roles? Like what is the process, time taken etc..
Thanks G2, how is a job family defined? Say PgM to TPM, is that within same job family?
