The only reason I’m still in public is because I’m scared to lose my visa. But I’m completely fried. I’ve got no problem working long hours, but I want to feel like it matters. Instead, I’m stuck doing 941 reconciliations at 10PM for clients I’ll never meet. I don’t have the luxury of jumping to a startup or doing a fun pivot. Has anyone here successfully navigated a pivot as an international hire without risking their entire future? What options did you find that actually worked?
