Can't say I'm sharing your experience as I've been turning offers down for months. I would recommend you branch out your search and not limit yourself to past experiences.
There's more than one industry and more than one way to make money, I'm confident you can find something
I'm been laid off again after accepting a new job 6 months ago. I'm done!! I'm no longer looking for a full-time position. I will do contract remote work. You give loyalty to these companies, and you're a number to them.
I am interested in what you are talking about.
I agree. The days of Company loyalty is over. I too is waiting on official layoff day. Decide I need to go back to consulting as well. Then I had a different mindset. Co or I could end contract without a stain. I did not have to explain. All was said Contract End. No fuse. Continued working.
I’m thinking something in sales. IT or real estate. What do you have in mind?
Yessir let's go
what are your roles? i have some big ideas
Please reach out to me via LinkedIn (/in/david/lamkin)
Must be a white collar job thing. Here in the manufacturing and engineering world, business is good
The IT industry is the worst it's been since the dot com bubble burst 20 years ago.
Anything with MRI or healthcare administration, count me in!!
OK. Looks like there is a good UI/UX developer, a legal expert, sales, a healthcare person, and more. It's a good start.
I’m a librarian…and studied information science. I know how people behave around content/media and information. I know how to manage information and make it accessible to humans and machines. I love working with developers and engineers as well as cross functional teams to tell a story around media and communications because I’ve spent time in all facets of the content lifecycle from creation to archive. I’m good at parsing, refining and curating the messages so they hit home. I even do this with the bot I created and developed a theoretical AI governance framework that needs hard coding to work with LLMs. It’s open source because AI needs better guardrails and customization.
I’m on LinkedIn and happy to demo what I do.
But to hedge my bets, I’ve shifted to getting prepared for teaching elementary Special Ed since there’s a need—and I’m flexible enough to go where there is need. I like making a difference.
That’s exactly what I’m doing, Investing in myself and working to build wealth for my family not a company or someone else.
What kind of business are you thinking about starting?
Fitness & accessibility! It’s that season! No reason to avoid moving forward and in all dimensions!
Hello, I just created my own business called “virtual payroll consultants” because of this. I am the only person with VPC but I plan on bringing in AI and hiring across the globe. Let me know how things go or if you want to talk.
Well, we have a UI/UX devleoper here and I have some AI experience too.
I love the response this had gotten. We just need someone that can find a seed investor(s)....
You can't go wrong with healthcare or dying left and right
I’m down !!!
I wanted to open a catering business since I am really good at it but I don’t know
Many people don't trust big pharma. How about natural remedies for various illnesses? I'd be down for a business like that
You are speaking my language. I learned a lot about cancer reducing supplements ect, in 2022. This supplement is ordered from here, that one from there, and a third place for other things. i would love to have a store where these things are sold in one place in conjunction with a website where supplements can be ordered online too. and internationally.
i want a place where people can walk in and drink great tasting healthy beverages and eat food that even cancer patients can consume. of course i would delver to families on hospice already or newly diagnosed for free. It is common they struggle with appetite and end up drinking unhealthy stuff . its not easy to find truly healthy food and drinks. i see the atmosphere of a library with printed success stories in binders from people who were diagnosed as terminal illl and are healthier instead of passed away. including their story of what symptoms led to a diagnose and, how they started their protocol and the type of cancer and why they chose one supplement over another and did they combine it with chemo or radiation or any therapy. I have read a lot of success stories in a particular face book group that is managed well and people post their scan results as the tumor shrinks. Sadly there are also a lot of posts when a loved one passes on. I would like to print in memory of each life lost to cancer too. it is really heart breaking and they ought to be honored and remembered. I want to do my part to make it easier for people to learn and feel more confident with these things that may increase a persons chances of survival. My Sister may have survived if it wasnt so frightening because no one had heard of this stuff and its supporting protocol supplements. It wasn't well known in 2022.
The face book group has grown and I've noticed a few posts about the doctor being on board with what is working instead of believing it wont help. Because of this protocol, some people are thriving instead of dying. Noel Watson is one example if you want to search. He almost died and feels driven to shout to the world how he turned it around.
Let’s go!
I've been doing business development/sales and consulting for a long time. I would be interested in a brainstorm conversation.
im not the Best or an expert, I am logical, and capable of learning.
My experience is mostly in IT and office work. I love the repetitive type of work that might bore others. I know Excel and Microsoft products pretty well. I started my programming experience with RPGlll. Have some exposure with a variety of programming languages. A buggy program is something that doesn't belong in production,
Quality, correctness and good function is a must for me. I can type about 50 wpm and could improve with practice.
I have 34 years in IT experience. Started as Data Entry / Computer Operator and learned my way to Systems Analyst. My last IT employment was for 22 years. I wrote reports mostly using Crystal reports. I wrote queries to fine tune Crystal reports data formulas and Oracle Forms, to save data for comparing changes against, search parameters , directing output to different formats and basics like that.
Outside of IT:
Took one welding class
I am good at delivering food.
I am a good dishwasher.
From being a disheasher i learned i can be on my feet for a ten hour shift and lift heavy dishes through it.
Life is meant to be joyful. That is my biggest requirement in any position i work. If going to work makes me feel anxious with knots in my stomach, after weighing the situation for months, if its a situation out of my control, I will respectfully provide adequate notice and move on, although I've only done that once.
