We are working on it really.
Deloitte does a ton of blockchain work.
Working on one
For those that are working on it, which sector has been most active? I am assuming it would be financial services by the nature of the disruption but would welcome any detail around specific processes, issues, etc? Thanks!
Financial service in OTC contacts is where I've seen work.
I can see a good user case in life sciences/pharma. The rebate seems these companies have in place cause predict diversion issues. Using block chain to track chain of custody would be useful.
Same here. We have real live projects in this space and huge demand in qualified pipeline
I hear that Accenture has sold a lot of work! Can anyone confirm?
Thank you for the responses! Looking forward to hearing more.
Which practice is this in? Is it in your digital practice?
@Director 1: can you tell more about the use cases in Pharma and life sciences?
Kpmg is selling as well
My auto correct in that post was terrible. Anyway a distributed transaction ledger that follows pharma products from manufacturer to wholesaler to pharmacy to user would be immensely helpful.
One issue pharma clients often face is whether or not a rebate should be paid to a pharmacy. This should be pretty simple but due to product diversion, complexity in rebate rules, channel complexity, and other fraud it can be quite complicated. Pharma companies lose millions per week by paying rebates they shouldn't have.
The ledger could provide a solution an elegant inexpensive solution to these issues. But I'm not a block chain guru so I might be of the mark here.
Director 1, that idea is far too sensible to work. Sounds disruptive to established problems.
Or maybe pharma companies could price the product right and do away with all the rebate associated shenanigans!
Trust me they would like to. You can't due to the way state programs, Medicaid, and Medicare are setup. Complexity is built into the system at a federal level. You can thank your lawmakers for that.
