Thoughts on Media.Monks legal department?
Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

This was actually written and CD’d by a team adam&eveDDB in London. But attributed to DDB NY.

DDB Chicago. They did the production and account management of it. But yes the London team did the creative
Awesome spot.
It’s a great spot. The obvious CGI sort-of adds a humorous feel to the visual.
One of my favs! I don't know if its the bears or the concept but it was in my top 5's of 2023. Now that you mention it, it does sorta look AI-generated, especially when you focus on the mouth movements on the bears. Good throwback OP.
Love this spot. And once again, simple is best
Sort of the crux of the AI conversation isn’t it?
Yeah AI could probably be prompted to make it now. But it could only do so because something like this already existed for it to mimic visually or even tonally. So, in fact, could it actually in a parallel universe? Would it always have to exist in a derivative way?
But the more important question here…would using AI make it as good, let alone better? Is the appeal of this ad purely in the idea…is it in how it’s executed with the offbeat delivery and animals…is it both? And would AI be able to actually recreate that given its subtly and purposefully directed uncanny/oddballness?
Not meaning to be a LinkedIn wanker about it - but, y’know. All for democratising production to make cool ideas happen more easily in theory, but I just don’t think AI is the answer some present it as. (Not a hot take, but surprised it’s not been mentioned already in this thread.)
