Do something like that Sprite stunt by Santo in Argentina.
Make an anonymous survey to find names of the ghosters. Cross reference those names with the applicants on your ad, take note of the matches. Ghost the rest, but not the matches.
Tell all the matches they have been accepted, do a call with all of them. In the call, be realistic. Get their hopes up. Tell each one to meet for an in-person interview. What they don’t know is, you’re telling them all to meet at the same place at the same time.
Interview day. They start showing up, filling the waiting room. They soon catch on that they’re all there for the same job. They’ll be wondering what’s going on.
At that moment, the receptionist ushers them all into a second room. It’s an auditorium.
Turn out the lights, play a short, documentary-style film of jobless people in advertising, and what they go through. Show one selling their possessions to pay rent. Another’s relationship is on the rocks, then the spouse leaves them. Kids asking why mommy or daddy looks so sad. The production is top notch, great direction, and emotional music swells on-cue to punctuate the dire situations.
Then the lights turn on, and the recruiters’ actual ghosting victims all file into the auditorium, all holding large prints of what appear to be emails. An MC walks on stage. “These are emails. From you. All of these people have been ghosted by you.“ Dramatic pause....
Better yet, I’ll send you the proper spelling of my name for the credits.
This is wonderful.
