It IS hard. Mom guilt is real. Support each other in your home partnership, recognize each other for the invisible work. Holiday break is coming. One last push 🫡
There will be many more of these instances since your child is still young. I would work on getting a close support system together so you can ease your mom-guilt. That way, your child can have a loved one or close family friend helping out. It takes a village to raise a child, as the saying goes.
I hope you remember to be kind to yourself. You are doing a lot. Also, your child will remember how you made them feel when they were sick more than facts or events.
You’re doing great! Feeling guilty Just means you care and there’s nothing wrong with that. It makes you a great parent.
Ugh...one of THOSE weeks. I get it. Things always seem to happen at the worst possible time, and then they just keep piling on. I feel like I've gotten so used to it at this point that when something bad doesn't happen, I'm grateful, and when some new unexpected challenge shows up, I just add it to the list. Hard. Frustrating. But in true mom fashion, we figure out how to make it work and just keep going. I'm sorry this is a hard week for you. Hope your little feels better quick. You got this!
Just letting you know you aren’t alone - I am in the same boat, pretty much. Just got back from a business trip late last night, youngest kid popped up at midnight super sick, none of us slept, and I am swamped with work today while trying to take care of her. This too shall pass, right?
Everything work out? How’s the little one?
