It usually is, unless your goal is making the most money in this profession. Since jumping from big law, found so much fulfillment being able to spend time with my family, doing hobbies I all but abandoned during my time in big law (mostly working out) and strengthening relationships with friends who started getting annoyed with my flakiness due to work.

Very much for me. I still make excellent money, have a ton of free time, and carry about 1/10th of the stress. I’m also a material better and more well rounded lawyer. Zero regrets here.
Omg so much better. I can’t believe I ever even struggled with the idea of leaving big law and making the jump. I work significantly fewer hours for a very decent pay (not as much as big law pay, but a very very comfortable salary). I go to the gym daily, I go out with friends at night during the week for dinner or to hang out, I spend every morning and every night with my family, I spend weekends doing what I want to do, and I get 8 hours of sleep a night and feel great!

way greener, even cash wise, if you find the right role with the right stocks. otherwise the lifestyle is better
Any advise on how to go about finding the right role, as opposed to the wrong one?
And if you do find the wrong one, is it likely to be able to switch jobs to find a better one?
