Florida associates (3-6 years experience) at regional decent size firms (or I guess really any firm), what is your hourly rate and salary? Thinking ahead about asking for a raise this year, and wondering if I’m limited at my firm bc our rates are seemingly low.

How to ask for a raise when you have more responsibility ?
Is it normal for people to ask for a raise when more responsibility/task fall under them? My company is going through separation and unfortunately my team is the one getting separated, I have to take on responsibility of another 3 people and continue to deliver the same after separation… how will you start this conversation with your manager ? I was happy about the raise, then realized I've been billing close to 80 hours a week for three weeks straight. I don't need a raise. I need a vacation. Ugh.

Hi all! I work at a nonprofit and am looking to leave the organization. As I browse available positions in my area, I’m realizing there is a LOT of crossover between my current org and others, for example shared board members, folks who are on our board and employed at one of the institutions I’m interested in, etc.. Is there a way to say “my current org doesn’t know I’m looking, so please treat my interest with discretion” that doesn’t raise red flags? Thanks!

I read the fine print and other than a need to be flexible in terms of when you book, it doesn’t seem like there is a catch.

I’m intrigued but I want to know 2 things:
1. Culture/WLB - how is it?
2. Realistic market opportunity/opportunity to crush quota (obv dependent on many things)

Background: Currently making 95k/160k OTE at a boutique research and consulting firm. I’m happy but we’re extremely flat with little to no opp for promotion in the next 2+ years.

Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year.
