I started dating this guy some months before covid struck.. he was literally crazy about me. He even stayed in Hyderabad for months just so that we could meet once before he went on to stay with his family. After that it had been a real roller coaster. Just accepted a new role with a good amount of equity shares…company is at least a few years from going public. I’m originally from NYC and lived there my whole life until I was 30 when my husband and I left for his work. Now, several years later we have the opportunity to move back to the NY area with our 2 kids but I’m balking as the COL. Combined HHI in NY would be ~$650K. If we stay put (we’re in a meh city) we could make $800K with lower COL so we’d keep saving $250k/year. Is it dumb to move back?
