I've done data breach/incident response/IP Theft work but have not been part of a 'cyber' team yet (though looking to change that). A Director i met recently at KPMG, though not in cyber, offered to pass my resume along to Ed Goings. I may take him up on that offer, though yours is also intriguing..
Interviewed at KPMG several years ago. They had the wrong interviewers show up. I didn’t accept. I’ve also never heard of anyone using KPMG for cyber and I primarily work with Fortune 500 clients
@Accenture1 kpmgcyber@protonmail.com
@EY2 yes all B4 firms have SEC restrictions
I'm interested, depends on pay, definitely open to travel tho, any openings in McLean??
@D3 missed your question, depends on locale but I have a direct report same level and experience and he is at 90k base.
@OP that at for @D3 is not equivalent with the rest of the big 4 pay. So why would we go to more of an unknown in the cyber field?
Would you hire from internal?
@OP is this just for US? Or even UK?
I am keen to know about options in Australia and New Zealand.
Ps-my autocorrect > me 😜
@P2 not sure why you are so angry. If you go back and read the post he said he had three years of experience, for us that would be a new Senior Associate. Most people don’t get promoted to SA @ KPMG until after their 3rd year. So that was the basis for my comparison. If you felt the comparison is/was invalid then ok but you said it was below market, which it isn’t.
For those that sent me an email I’ll respond to those shortly.
@SR1 - you will likely have to take a title hit as we’re not hiring directors with no direct cyber experience. I would imagine this to be the case across the board at the big firms. If you want to talk offline shoot me an email.
@M-TR1 Sorry can’t help you with AU/NZ don’t know anyone to connect you with.
What about a 3rd year manager wanting to become director- do you hire them as directors?
Not unheard of, but unusual. More likely to be hired at a manager with more pay.
EY has been poaching hard from PwC which is good for those individuals. Y’all are definitely growing for sure.
KPMG offered some EAs here that missed SA promotion a bump to 110k and an SA promotion, just FYI for others thinking. Now I am curious—I am a recent M promote, and was wondering if I would be brought in as an M, or back down to a high SA?
What sort of technical roles are open in cyber for kpmg in dc/mclean
@D5, are you thinking system implementation or a more traditional cyber role, also what level are you currently?
@PWC1, depends on years of experience and salary requirements.
OP - did you provide a burner? Don't think I saw it upthread. On edit: never mind - found it.
How about someone who has 4.5 years of consulting experience in Salesforce and SAP but no Cyber experience? Realistic pay ?
Seriously, I'm interested in applying. I'm doing my Masters in cybersecurity. If i get my manager promotion this year, I'll apply. I have experience in it as well. Looking to make a move
Still haven't been contacted by the recruiter lol
