This would consolidate services in alot of major cities so these airlines could spend less on advertising and put that money back into customer service and employee salaries
McKinsey, is that you?
Air travel will continue to suck…even more.
Agreed. I dislike both of them
It would get more expensive and suck more. Most hubs would be a monopoly at that point. They would also continue devaluing points and making it all but miserable for anyone who cant afford business class. Even that would get more expensive
DOJ wouldn’t allow 2 turdburgers to merge (Spirit/Frontier). They sure as shit won’t allow the national heavyweights.
I would be curious about the name options for the new entity. America United, United America? Either choice is something we need at the moment.

Even FTC will stop it. It takes two biggest players and takes out options for consumers.
Its just a corporate trolling by United.

Has to have been just an IB MD looking for fees
I’m still pissed at losing Continental after all these years. United is garbage and American isn’t any better.
American is even worse now. Ten years ago they were at least acceptable.
Right

It would be extremely anticompetitive. Zero benefit to customers.
I’ve long refused to air travel for pleasure. If I can’t drive to a R&R destination in a reasonable amount of time, I just don’t do it anymore. When I’m forced to air travel for work, I spare no expense.
Cool story, cap!
We’ll always have Spirit! Because the Trump Administration is ready to bail them out!
