Want to improve my verbal and written communication skills. I hear reading more would help but I don’t read as much as I used to. So I’m wondering what books would help with that? Should I just read books that tickle my fancy like suspense and true crime novels? Help! Welcome to all book recommendations.

Inspired by one of my kids' favorite books, I penned this masterpiece of an Ode to Consulting: One senior partner all alone Calls two managing directors on the phone Three associate partners at the door Bring along another four Five senior managers come overdressed Six managers show up with a guest Seven senior consultants arrive in a sack Eight associates sneak in the back Nine analysts come to work ALL THE CONSULTANTS GO BERSERK!!! Ok, I'll show myself out now... 😂

As we navigate the numerous challenges and roadblocks that come with being on a visa in America, what are some things you wish you had to support your mental health? I'm a Deloitte Tech Strategy & Architecture Senior Consultant with a Haas MBA looking to transfer to MBB. I'm up for manager this year and appreciate that if you move over you are expected to reset to first year post-MBA but has anybody been able to negotiate maybe a 2nd year post-MBA or even a manager/PL/EM entry? What specific tech skills are MBB looking for that they would be willing to offer flexibility on starting level. Again this is for the consulting not expert tracks at MBB. Many thanks in advance!
Do I have to disclose where I'm working from if I'm on the bench? Flew to mallorca 2 weeks ago, I've paid up a month on the condo I'm at near pollenca. I log in and help with proposals and what not but during downtime I'm at the beach, exploring or biking. Nobody knows. Might stay here longer don't have a flight home yet... Just wondering if I can get in shit.
Im a third year that applied for an L&E position with an AM100 firm. Didn’t graduate from a top 100 law school but I’ve had great experience working at top firms. Im requesting that I only come in to the office 2 days per week and do remote the remainder of the week (so I don’t have to move to the city and can just commute in those 2 days). Odds that I get the job?
Currently in Sales Ops, previously a BDR at smaller company. 2 YOE. I'm thinking about switching over to consulting. I want to go back to client facing but at a strategic level without focusing too much on selling. Any advice? Referrals? I'm within healthcare.
