I got laid off and not sure if I should find a place cheaper to live by myself and pay rent with UI for couple of months while studying or go back home where family is and contribute much less than I will be spending living alone to parents for rent. I will be saving a lot. Problem is younger sister who is mentally draining and steals my things, makes nasty comments towards me lives there and her bedroom will be right next to mine. She once got me arrested for no reason. What should I do?

So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). I feel like a failure as a parent at times - my youngest daughter is extremely anxious about middle school and in the first week has already had two emotional breakdowns. She is so worried about people picking on her and not having friends. I have reached out to the counselor and principal with hopes to get her some support in school, but I can’t do anything to make it better. I feel like I should be able to do more than encourage her but I know some battles she had to fight on her own.

My VP asked my fellow team member to take on a task simply because of her race to help them land a grant renewal. We’re both women of color but since I didn’t match the target audience I was not asked even though the task is on a project I am overseeing. We’re both offended with how this was handled by the VP, are we overreacting?

In an attempt to be healthier, I built a permanent standing desk. Now, once every couple hours my Apple Watch reminds me “it’s time to stand up” and I feel superior to all those chair sitters out there.

I’m so grumpy about new campus hires. Sometimes I’m judgmental (your hobby is “working on your golf swing,” really?). Sometimes I’m just exhausted by the worried earnestness. Sometimes I’m amazed that they seem to have zero useful skills, yet they’ll be making 150k easily in the not too distant future.

I love my wife being a stay at home wife even without kids. She seems so much less stressed, does things she enjoys (like cleaning, laundry ((yes I don’t know why she likes this stuff), yoga etc). I financially support her and I feel more like a man.
