BCG has fixed salary bands for all North America. Guessing you’ll slot into an Associate role which is below $100k
Coach
BCG has fixed salary bands. There is no negotiation.
The starting total comp for 1st year associates is $104k (Bass salary $90k)
You would likely come in as a Senior Associate. Base pay is $120k and total comp is $140k.
Try to push for coming in as a Consultant and base pay will be $165k and total comp $195k.
None of the above includes the signing bonus.

Everything above is true.
- You’ll either come in as Associate at $100k TC (plus free healthcare) and a 24 month clock for Consultant (our post-MBA role) promo which is $200k TC.
- Or you’ll come in as an SA at $120-140k TC with a theoretical 12 months clock to promo evaluation (which can feel really stressful) but often takes 18 months
- Comp is very standardized. There isn’t much wiggle room. If you are leaving year end bonus or significant equity on the table at your old place, you might have a little bit of leeway on signing bonus.
- We probably won’t ask comp expectations, because it is what it is
How do I transfer over from ABM ...
Coming in with tenure, + signing bonus+ bonus/ profit sharing+ health benefits you’ll likely hit over 100k in the first year
Pay grades are pretty standardised. Google what level you’re looking at and see what BCG offer.
