If you are hiring for an international job, how do you determine the correct job and corporate title for the employee?
Hello live in LA anyone looking for a National Sales Manager. Am in the staffing employment industry. Thank you,
Anyone here struggling to get new meetings? A thread for posting what services your company offers and maybe we can help make some connections to get into new accounts.
Has “We need to get back to normal ASAP!” been drilled into your head as well? I don’t see things going back to normal for A WHILE.
I'm currently a recruiter, with an HR background looking to make a slight career pivot. As an introvert, the recruitment aspect has been draining however, I do enjoy the non-phone screen aspects of it. I enjoy consulting with managers and looking at comp, internal equity and providing data to my hiring managers. I would love to know if there is anyone that has done a similar pivot (whether it's recruiter, HR generalist, etc.) to a Comp Analyst and what that transition has been like.
It's great to finally have a bowl of our own! In terms of HCM software, what is something that all of them tend to be missing, aside from a good user experience?
I'm wondering - who has great success with LinkedIn? I can get anyone to accept me as a connection but to engage them, I fail every time! What has worked for you to get engagement on there?
Putting together our strategy for next year and interested to hear what your big 3 challenges are that you see ( outside of continuing to navigate pandemic issues) ? Thanks
I know titles are an issue in all industries... but can anyone help me understand the difference between the functions of HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, and HR Assistant?
I keep hiring sales people who are super enthusiastic and overpromising on what they deliver. I put them through a trial month (no base + commission only) and they do not close a single deal, Even though the commission structure is amazing and I’m incentivizing them through the roof. We experienced sales people are asking for a base and commission but I’m scared that I’ll end up having a base and the same thing will end up happening. What am I doing wrong?
How do you review resumes in a way that reduces implicit bias? I just finished reading the book, "Biased," which discusses the implicit biases we all hold. Our company has not invested in an ATS software, and we’re looking to create a scoring rubric / database in excel based on the job description and candidates. What are ways to ensure the resume review process controls for bias and is still efficient / expedient?
Running a 360 process for a company. If one of my managers ask me to provide peer feedback on them - should I?
I am in my first HRBP role. It has been a role I’ve been wanting to focus on and get in to but never got the opportunity to do so. My imposter syndrome has kicked in, especially since it’s all remote too. I was wondering if anyone can give some advice on how to build that trust and relationship piece with managers to be able to succeed? I feel like my fear is holding me back and I am so afraid of failing again.
If your competitor reached out to ask “how do you sell against us” would you tell them? They should already know... or at least have an idea.
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
What do you do on Monday to get your week set up? I feel like I spend so much time helping my team get their pipelines in shape for the week / setting up a plan.
I applied for an a job and got through 2 of the 4 of interview for this tech sales company for a sdr position. I got scared off about commuting to a job. I pretty much lied to commiting. she said they were still interested in hiring me for a sales roles, to be on the look out for an inside sales role. An ISR role opened up, I applied to it but how do I reintroduce myself to the recruiter, how is the interview process different for an ISR vs an SDR interview? How can I highlight my talents?

People who left from big 4 to Microsoft, what did you gain and what did you lose? In terms of benefits and etc. Got an offer from Microsoft. Trying to gauge my expectations when I move.
Can anyone please let me be a part of their NYE Plans? I don’t want to celebrate alone. I am a M 🐠
I want to work at Google. I have applied to 4 separate L7 roles (im an AP) and got auto decline. I applied for one via a referral, got a prelim chat with the hiring manager and then got declined again. Im planning to get back to applying again with targeted resumes, but don’t want my hopes dashed again. What should I be doing differently?
I have an after-tax 401k cap of 10k (enforced by ACN fund administrator, Roth401k is maxed). Any risk to backdoor this into my RothIRA that I made before I hit the RothIRA contrib earning cap (137k)?

How many PTO days do Senior Associates start with at Guidehouse (transferring over from another firm). Is this negotiable when joining?

Anyone at EY doing financial accounting advisory? How do you like the work? Importantly skillsets?
Leaving soon but I really want to do something cool for my two team members. They’re basically like my brothers. Anyone have any ideas of cool gifts or something like that?
How have y’all made traveling for work and dating work? So hesitant to date anyone that’s not in Consulting cause I fear they won’t understand my being gone 4 days a week.
For the older crowd. Have y noticed that many middle aged men shave 10 years off their age? When I meet them in person I’m like really.
Got a call during lunch that my significant other has breast cancer ( confirmed). It’s “busy season” so everyone is busy until filing, but I just want to be home with her. What would you do?
Was very into this bohemian-esque girl, but stopped seeing her for a lot of reasons (was kind of a loose cannon, had hand tattoos, wasn’t always on the same level intellectually). Really missing her but not letting myself go back to her. Should I stick with my decision or am i making a mistake?
