Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. Haven’t heard back from McK since I submitted my resume through a referral 1.5months ago (experienced hire). The person who referred me says it’s still “under review”. Is there any way I can follow up with my application, or should I just take this as a rejection?

I really really want to work for McK and have put in a lot of effort to research and prepare.. so I don’t want to give up yet.
