You are not alone! Those of us in public all get burned out and have to dip out at some point. I did last year and everything compared to PA environment is such low stress that it doesn't register on my stress radar because I am used to soo much more. PA is a great place to build a good foundation for your career but (just my opinion) not a long term environment for the majority of us. You got this ...onward to less stress and better balance awaits you!
Haha not surprised tbh.

I've worked at big firms and small firms. Big firms tend to burn people out more because you are expected to work longer hours. If you want to stay in public accounting, but tired of the grind, maybe try a smaller firm where less is expected of you and you might be able to achieve a better worklife balance.
Not necessarily true. Worked at bigger firms that don't require as many hours as a small firm. I know. It's bizarre. The partners are working 70+ hours at this small firm. I don't understand. Partners at bigger firms worked less than 70 hour per week.
