You’d seriously think someone was asking you to walk on hot coals or live in a bunker. It’s a damn mask. And it clearly works because states who’ve implemented these measures have dramatically reduced cases and those who haven’t are skyrocketing.
And to answer your questions:
-Masks when you can’t social distance (e.g. walking down the street, in a store)
-Social distancing when you can and if you 100% can (e.g. in your own car, walking on an empty street) masks are not as crucial (you usually can’t guarantee this, though, because you don’t control, you know, humans in public)
-Lockdown because you can’t social distance as someone’s doing your nails or serving you food or drinks or doing your hair or shopping at a mall or testing products everyone else has tested at Sephora. And masks don’t work in these cases if you’re still touching all sorts of objects and surfaces with your hands and clothes and then going home to your families after.

D1 - compliance rates are something I’ve considered as a driver, but outside of anecdotes they’re difficult if not impossible to measure accurately. There’s also wide variation in what orders were in place where, which limits the ability to see specific effects across larger data sets.
One relates thing that what we don’t know is how many people were masking up before the order. If a large majority already were masking up, then the order itself didn’t change much.
I did do cuts of this data across multiple states with a large range of populations and drilled down to the county level in a couple of instances and the result didn’t really change much as datasets got more or less localized.
Are you aware of reliable datasets that provide estimates of compliance over time in specific areas? That would be an interesting overlay.

The idea is that 6 ft is a minimum, it won’t stop spread of drops if you yell. sing,cough etc. Masks alone help, although really both people must wear a mask for it to be a significant help.
I choose to distance. I choose to wear mask to keep myself and others safe.
Do I think lockdown “laws” are constitutional? Probably not, and certainly not if enforced (or not enforced) based on what the activity is.
So I choose to wear a mask and distance bc I think it’s safer for me and my neighbors.
You won’t take my gun and you won’t force me to wear a mask 🤣
I was kidding btw. I do wear a mask in public and I agree with mandating for the better of the public overall.
