Paws is a great organization to work for. Super easy to schedule and go at your own pace!!
What are your interests?
Yes. Both have a similar mission to help underprivileged youth. I believe Embarc is more focused on helping kids succeed in the moment / high school and giving them resources to succeed.
Chicago Scholars is taking first generation to go to college students in their senior year and helping them and their family navigate the process and the next 3-4 years. Tons of volunteer opportunities and mentor opportunities. Their biggest annual event, Onsite, is happening in October and I believe they’re still in need of volunteers. It’s so rewarding!

I have been volunteering with PAWS Chicago since the pandemic, and it has hands-down been one of the best experiences and communities I have gained in my adult life.
