That happened to me once and I was livid. No warning, no heads up, just gone. When I called payroll for an explanation, they acted like it was no big deal. It IS a big deal when you're budgeting to the dollar and suddenly your bank account is short $200. At minimum they should have to notify you before deducting anything. Or better yet, just take the overpayment out of your next paycheck and let you know that's what they'll be doing.

You understood it well. It is a big deal when you are living paycheck to paycheck. When this happens, it just messes your budget and you have to rethink somethings.

I hate when this happens. When I saw that extra money in my account I was feel so good. I knew something was wrong though because I never made that much money. It sucks when you have to send the money back or if they deduct the extra money from your next check.

It feels really weird and sad to be honest. I wish they had not overpaid me last time, it would have been so much easier to deal with this.
