Its Monday morning here in APAC - how are we all feeling? What challenges are we facing/dreading/looking forward to?

How would you spend Valentine’s Day single? I mean how would you survive all the happy couples and not want to jump off a cliff?

I went on a date last week and it went really well. We basically set up 2nd & 3rd dates that night. 2nd date's Friday for drinks and 3rd date is drag brunch. Date had to end pretty early bc she's in the med field and needs to wake up around 5am. I'm new to dating people my own gender and I want to make moves but I'm nervous/hesitant since I'm new to this. There was light touching, leaning in, eye contact, but I want to do more. Anything I should do on the 2nd date? How to initiate?

My gf and me call each other everytime we have free time. However lately she seems disinterested in phone time. She never initiates calls anymore and she tells me she wants to hang up in the middle of the day and not right before bedtime. We live a 4 hour drive apart. And I told her this is like living together from a distance, because I put her on the house speakers. What can I do to keep her engaged?

I got the offer from Gartner and State street for data engineering. Please tell me which one is good in terms of wlb, annual hike, and work.
yoe - 7 years
Gartner - 24 fixed + 2.4 variable
State street - 27.5 fixed.

So I'm being served questrade ads non stop right now on the streaming machine and I'm seeing the whole collection of them. They make me cringe and downright angry. Is it just me?

For those of you in your mid-20’s, how often do you go on dates with your significant other? In a serious relationship for the first time since college and trying to gauge what folks consider normal for dating frequency (excluding nights in). Of the SHREK firms, which is the best executive search firm and why?

Manager at Deloitte, traditional consulting track. Current base is 200. How hard would it be to find a comparable base if I transitioned to an exec search firm? Any tips? Just starting to network now. TIA

WLB? I’m in discussion and super interested in work from the SHREK firms. I’ve historically preferred smaller companies but these are showing more interest in my experience. Any firms in this area really promote work life balance?

How did everyone here end up in executive search? Are you that rare unicorn who wanted to be a search consultant/researcher when they grew up?

I, like most people, fell into it and didn't realise it existed until I was working in it. Came upon through a personal connection I made while I was studying, started as data entry part time and voila, ended up coming back as a researcher.

What's your story?
