Let’s see one of Grey’s agencies in the United States win some. Or see any of their agencies win for real work done for a real client.
14/16 pencils are from one awesome project out of Circus Grey in Peru. Happy for them, but it’s hardly raining gold across the network.
Yes that’s exactly why awards are a good thing. They level the playing field. Creatives from small countries who handle small budgets can outthink US creatives who handle big budgets. And by doing so, they can create a better life for themselves.
Ok
Circle jerk awards for scammy work is no measure of how good an agency is.
You’re not meant to look behind the curtain!
While Ogilvy ain’t the creative epicenter of the world by any stretch, it is head shoulders above Grey. Don’t know what you smoking. Aside from the Tor years, Grey has always been mediocre at best.
We don’t claim OP. Weird take.
No offense, but neither of those agencies have been cool since the 90s, maybe the early 2000s. I worked at both in the last 10 years and both are lame.

This post is about 50% coherent. Not great considering we’re in the business of succinct communications.
I genuinely don’t understand the post. Like, I need it to be translated.
Oh honey
It’s the same with FCB. IPG just win network of the year with McCann and FCB doing all the heavy lifting and they’re gonna get folding into Omnicom come the fall
Cool story

With 16 golds, 9 silvers and 26 bronze, 3 best of category and 85 “additional pencils” (as your tweet put it)…I’m not sure we’re really all that far “below” you.
Best of luck sauntering in with that attitude though.

Losing your job goes with the territory in advertising. Account losses, downsizing, jerk clients and worse bosses. I alerted my inner circle of this early in my career to lessen the stigma when the inevitable happened. And happen it did.
Imagine basing any bit of your identity on the ad agency you work for. They’re not sports teams. They make waste people have to wade through to get to what they actually want. The tribalism, superiority, and sense that you’ve been wronged is misplaced. Be more than just an advertiser. Anything is better.
