We've had a little bit of workplace drama recently. It always amazes me how much we can blow the tiniest things out of proportion. The sad thing is at the end of the day some people may lose their jobs because they can't accept feedback calmly and move on. Luckily I'm just a fly on the wall this time and I'm doing whatever it takes to keep it that way 😂 How far are you willing to go to avoid the drama?

Yep definitely trying to avoid it like the plague

I feel like this is most issues in the workplace, to be honest. If people just talked openly and honestly and compassionately with each other, we could avoid so many issues. Especially in this industry. It's never really that serious.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?
