I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

It’s a great city. just like any other city it has rough spots. A lot of big companies have offices there or nearby. Plenty of wealthy people live there so it must be good enough for some.
Just don’t expect it to be NYC!
P.S- Kensington is not in South Philly but just wanted to point out an area thats great beyond Center City
Philly between where the Wharton people live and go out and the walk to campus are all pretty safe. Not aware anyone in my class having issues! You can check crime stats in the rittenhouse area (b/w Market and Spruce and 18th-24th is where most people live)
Philly is pretty safe. Just avoid certain neighborhoods.
Cousin got jumped and robbed his first weekend in Philly while going to Wharton. It’s rough. Be safe out there.
Are you planning to get involved with gangs?
😭😅
Had a great two years at W! A few students ran into issues but I never had any incidents
Hahahaha 😅
Just don’t go to Kensington lol
Philly is probably much more dangerous than where you’re coming from, but that doesn’t guarantee you’ll be a victim of a crime. You’ll probably be completely safe, but be vigilant. You’re right to anticipate a certain level of culture shock.
Just learn the right way to order a cheese steak and you will be fine.
