Lots of the tech firms use Macs. Lateral to a tech firm or Silicon Valley!

WSGR can't afford macs

I think the adoption of firm-wide leases of macs is still low but if your firm uses virtual machines, I know many lawyers opting to use mac devices.

As a former thinkpad user I deeply empathize with you OP.

My problem isn’t with Lenovos it’s with windows. Windows is so crap, and using a VM on a Mac to use windows is even more crap. As a former Apple employee before law school, I’ve begged every firm I’ve been at (including the biggest SV firm) to adopt Macs but I guess I’m not a partner so nobody gave a shit.

like

Permanently to macs will never happen but there are a handful of firms that offer it as an option.

In an auto accident trial, can you inform the jury in any way that the at-fault driver had insurance? Hello, I am a junior business administrator working in advisory operations. I have been with the company for 6 months, and was employed along with 2 other colleagues. I have picked the job up really fast and am even doing some “extra curricula’s” I really love my job. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money

One of my friends works as a Director in Nagarro. She has been there for 7 years and has a CTC of 42 with total yoe 17. Per current trend this is low even though she is a constant top performer. She says that even though delivery people play a pivotal role, they are not paid well. In her team, she sees technical people earning 45-50 at 10-11 yoe. So the factor is 2.5 for delivery vs 4.5 to 5 for technical roles. Per her, this is quite common in Nagarro & she is not an outlier. ctd in comments

To those at V25 firms, how do you view your London office in terms of the quality of work we get and overall importance to the firm? Like is there a perception of us being a step down or ancillary to the big leagues of NYC or not? There’s generally a perception here that L&W and K&E are the only US firms where London can even begin to compete with stateside in terms of generating l work organically but would be interesting to know what you all think? Be brutally honest.
