Tell me you have done zero research without telling me...
Overtime is normal especially during busy seasons
Every B4 has an overtime expectation for client services
😂😂😂
Is this a real question? Lol
Let me tell you a story. I begged my husband not to interview with Big 4 for his first job. I'm in PA too, even in my non-big 4 firm, we work busy season hours, which, in general are 55 hour weeks in the winter, but could be extra anytime you have a deadline (always)....but I've heard plenty of Big 4 horror stories. He, of course, didn't listen to me and was flattered to get an offer. Which he accepted. His first busy season, he worked on a job about an hour from our house. Most of the team stayed in a hotel to reduce travel time, but we were fairly newly married and had a baby on the way, so he chose to drive each day. He used to leave the audit room at 11pm and walk back in at 8am, and he got in trouble for always being the first one to leave and the last one to get there. The next busy season (when we had a 3 month old and I was also working a busy season), he was out of town for 6 weeks. When he heard that his third busy season would be 12 weeks out of town, he quit.
40 hour work week? That’s not normal for EY
Avg 55 hours a week through the year
