Now that Alphabet employees have formed a union, is there a possibility that public accountants can now form one? I’ve been saying for years that a union would be hugely beneficial in terms of retention and morale. I know you all will think this is nuts but hash it out below!

To what extent to platforms facilitate union formation? To what extent do they discourage it? You'd think websites like glassdoor, linkedin, and this one would all be in an incredibly powerful position from the point of view of union organizing and the way they design the site could work for us or against us. So I'm asking two questions - how do we use the sites to build solidarity and organize unions but also can the sites better facilitate this process?

Currently self employed for a year to work on investing. Do I literally need a partner level referral to get back into Audit? I thought there was an accountant shortage.
