If you mean top firms in terms of pay/global sense - it would be Holland & Knight and Foley & Lardner (also Squire Patton Boggs, Greenberg Traurig, and Akerman, but these do not pay big law market).

Hill Ward Henderson, a well respected Old Tampa firm.

By Old firm, I mean well-established, deep Tampa roots firm. They are an OG I’m Tampa.

Carlton Fields, Shutts, Foley, H&K, Akerman etc

I would add Gunster as well.

like

Morgan & Morgan

But you get to work in pods!

From Orlando but agree that HWH has a great reputation.

Plenty of major national firms there as well.

Shutts and Bowen, Foley Lardner, Carlton Fields, Hill Ward Henderson

Would Trenam be included?

Don’t they still require around 1800–2000 hours?

Had a very unpleasant experience with the entire interview process at Paytm. First of all they kept all three rounds in a single day . It started from the morning and ended up till the final round at late evenings. After all the rounds were cleared, the HR asked for the expected package, and when I gave him my quote which was just 35% more than my current CTC, he got reluctant and said we only have a budget of an X amount which was just 10% more than my current CTC. Who on earth does that..?

When do you know you've toured enough houses and should pick one from the list you've got? I've seen probably 15-20 homes, and put in one offer. How many homes should you tour minimum, and how many offers did you put in before you closed? I don't want to be too hasty and choose something just because, but I also think continuing to see homes isn't really making my decision any easier. Thanks!

Recommendations for firms to look into in South FL? I'm in Ft. Lauderdale but am open to Boca or Miami. I'm a first year associate in ID (coverage issues) but really would prefer transactional work. More importantly though, I'm looking for companies who pay relatively well (doesn't necessarily have to be market), are open to remote/hybrid work, aren't sweatshops. I'd settle for insurance work if theres good WLB & $$$ lol
