What are you doing for supplemental income? I'm getting unemployment and thankfully getting to keep most of it because I moved back in with my parents. But I have a rental property that's not renting and I have to channel that to pay the mortgage for that spot, so I guess I'm not REALLY keeping it. I need some ideas on quick, short gigs that I can get on with for some extra cash. Please help!

I'm doing all the freelancing I can right now. I've found some short term opportunities paying $30-$40/hour and am actively looking for more. I signed up on DoorDash a month ago too. Haven't actually made any drives yet, but I'll probably start doing that if I'm not able to land on my feet soon or if any of the contract opportunities dry up.

If you don't mind me asking, where do you live that you can't find renters for your rental property? There is a housing shortage basically everywhere. My advice would be to look at why it's not renting, and make whatever changes you need to make. Is the rent you are asking too high?

I’m exploring gig apps like food delivery or freelancing platforms for quick ways to bring in cash without a long commitment. Selling things I don’t need or doing small online tasks has helped too.

I've known people who have picked up some money doing freelance gigs via Upwork. But there's a lot of competition and in some areas it's probably hard to find jobs that would make it worthwhile. But it might be something to look into.
