I’ve submitted about 100 applications over the past month. Some stretch roles for sure but less than 5% yielded an interview. Less recruiters cold calling me too. Definitely don’t think you’re alone. Best of luck.
Maybe it's time to change career. Check to see if your field is marketable. See how you can use your experiences in another field based on skills
I’m a retired accountant, and about 6 months ago I registered with an online recruiter looking for a part time position to keep myself busy. To my surprise, I couldn’t believe how many offers I got, mainly full time positions, and in different areas of my profession, I could literally pick and choose. I also discovered a great deals of jobs in different white collar positions.

If you go to forexfactory.com you can make the determination on whether you think unemployment is low. The numbers that are reported in the news are the numbers aligned to the previous months' claims of those persons who filed for the first time. That compounds into the overall unemployment number. So unemployment maybe higher than what's being reported. My advice would be to research the hot industries and fit your expertise within that industry, while focusing on cost reduction practices even if AI is include
It’s a hot mess and the gov is not helping by inc interest rates every month. To make matters worse big companies are making cuts and calling it savings which is not in reality. Best of luck / stay positive and you need to do something different to get results IMHO
The unemployment numbers are manufactured right now to make Biden look better. They are likely much higher.
No one is hiring. No one is investing. The economy is going into stagflation just like it did in 2015 and 2016. The same government policies shockingly are resulting in the same type of economy... who would have thought.
